About PME

What happens when an automotive engineer, with years of experience modifying vehicles, ends up in a wheelchair?

Problem Management Engineering (PME) was founded in 1989 by Bill Georgas, after he became a paraplegic. Very unhappy with hand controls that were fitted to his vehicle, Bill soon realised that there was a great need, for quality automotive engineering services, for the physically challenged.

An engineer in a wheelchair

With his previous engineering background, including vast experience in the automotive industry modifying vehicles, Bill set about creating something very special. Starting with a company of one in Hornsby Heights NSW, he created a business specialising in the development, manufacture and installation of innovative vehicle solutions for the disabled. Problem Management Engineering was born.

Now, with two decades of experience modifying vehicles, PME have become leaders in the industry and are known and trusted right across Australia. With thousands of satisfied customers, PME stands alone in terms of experience, expertise and empathy.

We supply modified disabled vehicles to rehabilitation centers including Port Kembla Hospital, Calvary Rehabilitation (CRAGS), Driving Assessment and Rehabilitation Centre (DARC), St Joseph’s Driver Rehabilitation, Lady Davidson Hospital, David Berry Hospital, Mid-Western Brain Injury and St Vincent’s Hospital, and are the most recommended vehicle modifiers for disabilities in Australia.
