Discovery Lowering Swivel Seat
Easy in and easy out; take the challenge out of transferring from your wheelchair.

Vehicle access has always been a challenge for wheelies. For most, transferring means twisting, turning and climbing, with high riding 4wds making it more of a challenge. The Discovery is the original rotating car seat and with its swivelling and lowering functions these hassles become a thing of the past.
The Discovery system makes entering and leaving your car much easier, giving you greater dignity, freedom and mobility. It also assists carers to transfer their passengers, making their job much easier.
Options
There are two variants that provide increasing levels of accessibility to the user;
Discovery seat with basic electric swivelling function
Discovery seat with electric swivelling function and fully automated lowering and lifting system. Commonly installed in 4wds, the lowering variant can lower a maximum of 390 mm once swivelled out of the vehicle. The Discovery’s path of operation is fully programmable by the installer to ensure that maximum legroom is maintained.
If your vehicle is large enough, the original seat can be installed to the system at an extra cost rather than the using the after-market seat. This allows you to utilise all seat functions and maintain the factory look of the vehicle. Discovery Systems can be adapted to Passenger, Driver and Mid Row positions and are fixed to the original seat mountings for easy restoration of the vehicle when it is to be replaced.
Docking
These systems can be combined with the Traveller system. The Traveller system allows the seat to dock with a wheel unit, allowing the client to enter and exit the vehicle without transferring. For more information visit the Traveler product page.
