Accelerator Ring
Offering a natural driving position popular with driving enthusiasts
| Gallery | Video |
The Accelerator Ring is an advanced hand control driving adaptation. It offers drivers effortless, controlled acceleration and braking, with the advantage of a natural driving position, to achieve one of the most satisfying driving experiences available.
While using the Accelerator Ring, both hands remain on the steering wheel. Popular with driving enthusiasts, this driving position allows for easy access to secondary functions such as the indicators, headlights, gearstick and horn while maintaining control of the steering wheel and accelerator. For the user, this means smooth, unrestricted driving.
Acceleration is achieved by simply applying pressure at any point of the ring. Two models are available with differing methods of operation that appeal to a wide range of users. The Under-ring model is positioned underneath the steering wheel with acceleration achieved by simply pulling the ring towards the wheel with the fingers. The Over-ring model is positioned over the steering wheel and is operated by pushing the ring towards it.
Braking operates by way of a push handle situated behind and to the side of the steering wheel. In the event of the accelerator and brake being operated at the same time, a security system automatically cancels the acceleration.
This conversion is one of the most aesthetically pleasing with the Accelerator Ring blending in with the vehicle’s interior to give a factory finish look.
