RPV 4x4
This 4x4 vehicle exceeds the boundaries of the conventional wheelchair.
Go further with the RPV 4x4!
The 4x4 Rural Pursuit Vehicle is an all terrain vehicle designed specifically so that people with mobility challenges can exceed the boundaries of their wheelchair. It can be configured to the user’s requirements and supports users of different levels of disability. The RPV 4x4 gives a wide spectrum of disabled people the opportunity to follow outdoor pursuits.
Difficult terrain is a reality in the Australian environment but wheelchairs are inadequate for moving over rough ground and can limit the places you can access. With outstanding cross country performance, the RPV 4x4 goes anywhere. Driven by a 13hp Honda engine and permanent four-wheel-drive, this low speed buggy can easily manage rough or soft ground.
Something for everyone
There is no need to transfer into the RPV 4x4 as the user’s own wheelchair becomes the driver’s seat. The vehicle is easily entered thanks to its hydraulic ‘kneel’ mode and the wheelchair is locked down securely when in position.
The controls are designed to support users with varying types of disability. Similar to conventional electric wheelchairs, the RPV 4x4 provides joystick and chin controls but it also offers a further control device in the form of a sip-and-puff straw that detects positive or negative air pressure. Anyone can enjoy the great outdoors with these simple-to-operate controls.
