PME exhibited at the SCIA Independence Expo on the 17th of March between 9.30am - 5.00pm at the Southee Complex, Sydney Showgrounds, Sydney Olympic Park.
The SCIA Independence Expo is a unique one day event aimed at giving people living with spinal cord injury, their family and friends access to an extensive range of the most current products, services and resources all under one roof. Even with the rain, this year there were approximately 250 attendees who came out to see the 45 different exhibition stands. On display was the latest in assistive technology, mobility solutions, pressure care, employment support, accessible recreation/holiday ideas, modified motor vehicles and a lot more. Among these was a stand from PME Auto Conversions.
Attendees of the expo were pleased to see our stand, covering a large indoor as well as outdoor area; PME representatives demonstrated our impressive interactive displays, as well as a number of our best and latest products.
The PME Space Drive electronic mobility controls evaluation vehicle, Evaluator #1 was on show once again, accompanied by the PARAVAN wheelchair, imported from Germany, we here at PME consider this the best wheelchair for self-drive systems, and reactions from attendees reinforce our ideals. The wheelchair is the most flexible we’ve seen, able to be adjusted on any angle. For those who would like to see it again, or those who want their first experience with the chair, we have a demonstration model at PME.
Our interactive displays were on showcase once again, demonstrating the best PME has to offer, from spinner knobs to electronic mobility. Anyone could get behind the wheel of these displays and test out their favorite controls. Screens were also mounted on the stands with videos playing that described the controls in front of the viewer.
The SCIA Independence Expo was a big success. We hope you had a chance to visit our stand. Just in case you missed it, or if you wanted to see it all again, we took a few photos that you can view in the following gallery.
